Our Overall Efforts – Year 2025

During the year 2025, the Patient Welfare Society (PWS) at Allied Hospital Faisalabad saved the lives of hundreds of patients across various medical fields. The following is a brief account of some remarkable cases that highlight the Society’s commitment to patient care:
•Sana, a 9-year-old girl, was suffering from a life-threatening condition that required immediate brain surgery. The surgeons needed a VP Shunt for the operation, which the patient’s parents could not afford. The hospital administration referred Sana’s case to the Patient Welfare Society, which promptly arranged the VP Shunt. This timely intervention made the surgery possible and saved her life. Today, Sana is on the road to recovery.
•Sughri Bibi, a mother of four, was admitted with severe white blood cell deficiency. Doctors prescribed urgent plasmapheresis treatment, requiring six plasmapheresis kits at a cost of approximately Rs. 35,000 each. The family could not afford this expensive treatment, so the hospital entrusted her care to the Patient Welfare Society. The Society arranged the entire treatment, ensuring her life was saved.
•Maant, a 13-year-old girl, was admitted to the ICU with a serious autoimmune condition in which her immune system was attacking her own body. Doctors prescribed IVIG injections to save her life—12 injections were needed, each costing Rs. 40,000. Due to the father’s limited income, the family could not afford the treatment. The Patient Welfare Society arranged 10 IVIG injections, totaling Rs. 400,000. With this timely support, Maant’s condition improved, and she was saved.

In addition to these individual cases, the Society spent approximately Rs. 8 million on medicines for dialysis patients and children suffering from kidney-related diseases (K-Var), and another Rs. 2 million on life-saving treatments such as Plasma My, VP Shunts, and IVIG injections.

These achievements reflect the unwavering commitment of the Patient Welfare Society to ensure that no deserving patient is deprived of treatment due to financial constraints. All of this has been made possible through the generous support of donors and the tireless, pro-poor efforts of the Society—a true embodiment of social responsibility.
